Another Birthday

So I almost didn't post anything. I turned 31 this March. Blah. My neighbors made a delicious icecream cake and Chad and Grace sang Happy Birthday to me. That part was fun. Amy turned 30 3 days later and has a wonderful attitude - she didn't care a bit. We all went to Ruth Chris Steakhouse in Park City for dinner and that too was fun. So I guess although I tried to hate my birthday, it was pretty hard to maintain my bad attitude. I will say I have a wrinkle on the skin by my eye that looks like I slept on my pillow case wrong. I can't believe it's an actual permanent part of my face. It's at least an inch long. I better take the advice that I give Grace and start having an attitude of gratitude. I have so much to be thankful for...just not that enormous wrinkle, my age spots and gray hair. OK I'm done complaining.

Princess Party

Grace got invited to the neighbor girls princess party. It was a pretty big deal. Everyone got their nails painted, lipstick, and sparkles. The highlight was meeting Cinderella and listening to her sing and dance.
Before we left I let her wear eyeshadow and she was so excited

The cupcakes and strawberry milk were adorable, but a little messy when wearing princess attire

Cinderella danced with Grace and gave her an autographed picture

A lot of little princesses to keep happy

Grace's Song

Months ago Tami and I were in Sam's Club and the song "Say" by John Mayer was playing. Grace attempted to sing it and one time it came on the radio and she lit up, so I let her listen to it on the computer and she was so happy. This video is not so entertaining, but I wanted to remember this about Grace.

Cute cousins

Taking a cute picture usually involves some behind the scenes drama.

Here's a great example...

Superman turns 3

Grace had a Superman Birthday Party and absolutely loved her cake and superman pj's. She makes us call her Superman all the time as she pretends to play with the Hulk, Princess Fiona, or baby Supermans. Amy and Justin came over and helped make our superhero party complete with Emma as Spiderman, Roman as Batman, Amy as Lightning Mcqueen and Justin as Shrek. Chad and I are not fun and didn't even think to dress up. No, I did not make the cake. A friend recommended a lady who makes cakes from home. I don't regret it.
The Entrance

The presents included a spiderman scooter, superman racecar and Crispix Cereal AKA (Kung Fu Panda Cereal) according to Grace.

Valentines

We went to the St. George Parade of Homes with Kate and really enjoyed a getaway. Thanks to Amy and my friend Alison for watching Grace. We saw a few 3 million dollar homes which were amazing. (They should be!) Kate was a good girl and slept well at the hotel to our relief.
Chad did a great job with the flowers this year. The purple with red really stood out.
